Kate Meyher — Producer, DJ & Radio Host – Kate Meyher is a producer, DJ, and radio host blazing her way through the UK’s LGBTQ+ electronic music scene. More than a crowd-shaker, she’s one of the country’s most celebrated transgender DJs, using music as both a platform and a movement.
A Journey Fueled by Music & Community – Kate’s roots trace back to 1998, when she cut her teeth in the UK dance scene and became a resident DJ for the iconic Gulp Nation trance and hard-house nights, touring the country for five years. After stepping back to raise her family, she returned in 2020 with renewed energy—quickly reclaiming her place behind the decks and emerging as a champion for inclusion and visibility.
On Air & On Stage – Kate’s radio career launched in 2020 with Gorgeous Radio before she joined Gaydio, the UK’s leading LGBTQ+ station. Today, she hosts two weekly shows—In The Mix, airing Monday and Friday nights at 9pm—where she blends groove-heavy selections and shines a light on new talent.
Her live performances span clubs and festivals nationwide, sharing stages with LGBTQ+ powerhouses including Jodie Harsh, Danny Beard, Cheryl Hole, Woody Cook, Angie Brown, Nadine Coyle, and Miami House Party. Her sets flow through deep house, disco, jackin’, melodic techno, and leftfield beats—always soulful, dynamic, and charged with energy.
Crafting Her Own Sound – Since joining Toolroom Academy, Kate has carved her place as a rising producer. Her tracks have gained support from BBC Introducing, Centreforce Radio, Select Radio, and War On House Radio. Highlights include her 2022 Spotty Dog Records releases Beat Goes On and One Way, followed by features on Curious Energy Records—most recently with the IWD Sampler 2025, celebrating groundbreaking women in dance music.
Kate is proud to announce her partnership with Happy Sounds Productions, marking an exciting new chapter in her career. Her first release with the label will be a cutting-edge tech house remix of “Real Life,” available on 30 September 2025. Building on this momentum, spring 2026 will see the launch of a highly anticipated collaboration with legendary vocalist Angie Brown and acclaimed producer HOUZEWORKZ with a VIP Club Mix of “Stir It up”
Leadership & Advocacy – Off the decks, Kate is equally committed to driving change. She founded Chase Pride, her hometown’s LGBTQ+ festival, which debuted in 2022 to an audience of 5,500 and headliners like Cheryl Hole, Danny Beard, and Woody Cook. She curates events such as Mix City and R4GE to elevate gender-minority DJs and raise funds for vital causes. Beyond her own projects, she has also served as Chair for two LGBTQ+ charities, dedicating thousands of volunteer hours to her community.
Kate Meyher is more than a DJ—she’s a cultural force at the intersection of music, advocacy, and empowerment. Every set, every track, every event is a heartbeat of the movement she’s helping shape.
