The Very Talented Jesse Sampere is a Singer Songwriter/Musician from Gibraltar born in 1996. Jessie didn’t discover music until well into his teens despite his Grandfather being a well-known pianist in the local area. It wasn’t until Jesse finished school and pursued employment where he started realising his passion for music. Then at the age of 18 he started learning the guitar.
It started with the well-known cover of ‘hurt’ by Nine-inch nails, performed by Johnny Cash. His music resonated with him so much the emotion he puts into every song is unparalleled. John Mayer is a big inspiration to Jesse. He’s one of the best guitarists of our generation in his opinion. Alongside Jonny Cash and John Moyer to name a few. One of Jesse’s favorite singers is Jack Black. The way he mixes humor into his songs and how he effortlessly sings is amazing.
Since 2016 Jesse has been gigging constantly. With his band “In Static Lights” also as a solo Artist. Covering every music venue and club in Gibraltar. Also performing Twice in the ‘London calling Gibraltar friends’ event hosted in Camden, along with several other events abroad. In March 2022 Jesse has been signed to Happy Sounds Productions. A London based record label. Where he is working on several different projects. Teaming up with JBAX with the first release, a 2022 Dance cover of Eric Clapton “Layla” expected to be realised in April 2022.
